O.V.D stands for Old Vatted Demerara, a style of rum blending unique to the Demerara region of Guyana.
BORN IN 1838
O.V.D rum was first blended and bottled in 1838 on Dock Street, Dundee, Scotland.
IT ALL BEGAN WITH A VISIONARY ENTREPRENEUR
It was first bottled by George Morton, a draper from the outskirts of Edinburgh and Scotland’s rum pioneer.
IT SOON BECAME SCOTLAND’S FAVOURITE RUM
A title it has retained for the past 180 years.
A TRUE DEMERARA RUM
O.V.D is distilled in a unique wooden Coffey still in Guyana, using the sweet molasses from Demerara sugar.
